Removing Stone Veneer Grout?
by bpowell in Concrete
- The company that did our exterior stone veneer did not do a good job in maintaining consistency when they grouted it. The grouting was done over a couple of days and they used different people so I'm assuming they didn't use the same mix recipe.
There are areas where the grout is much darker than the rest of the house. The company is no longer in business so I can't go back to them to fix it. My question is can I apply another layer of grout over top of the existing grout? If not, are there any alternatives to removing the grout and regrouting? If not, what is the best way of removing the grout? I don't remember what the grout technique is called but it is a thick grout joint, probably 1-1.5 inches wide.
Thanks.

Attaching Plaque to Granite Boulder
by georgek in Masonry
- I recently lost a very dear pet. I buried her at the base of a large granite boulder in back of my house. I purchased a slate plaque which I would like to mount permanently on the face of the boulder. What could I use for this mounting project?
Thank you in advance.
